Do you think its easy being a Real Estate Agent?
I love my job! However, there are times when it is more difficult than it needs to be.
In the real estate business the New Year typically starts off slow. Most people are recovering from the holidays and slowly getting back to their day to day routine. I have a great new listing coming soon in La Crescenta (under $500,000) 3+2, fabulous location, master suite & a nice back yard. It is being primped and should be ready for viewing this month.
Lisa and her clients have been working on a short sale for seven months. The seller’s agent is non-communicative and is reluctant to return Lisa’s phone calls or emails. We finally had to get his manager involved. Not sure what that’s about and not certain whether this short sale will ever close.
I have another (probate) court date for the San Fernando Valley condo this month. I have been working on this sale for over two years. This is the condo with the “cloud on title”; two attorneys have been involved….. If interested, Learn about clouds on title here
Last Friday, I resold the Glendale condo and its back in escrow. The buyer’s deposit was to have been delivered to escrow yesterday. But the Realtor is not returning my phone calls. This is the one where the previous buyer became fed up with their lender’s constant demands for additional paperwork. The (first) buyer canceled escrow. The seller kept half of the buyer’s earnest money deposit. Read more about reasons a seller might be able to keep your earnest money deposit here
I am waiting on the loan approval for the Sparr Heights bungalow and hope it closes this month. There was a lot of loan massaging …… but what’s new?
The Glendale home with the eight car garage is in escrow. I have been working on this sale for nearly two years. This is an estate sale involving two sides, one of which is probate and a short sale. This should be very interesting. Bank of America short sales are registered online. BofA has already kicked it out of the system once and Lisa has reinput it back. Tag you’re it!
Lisa is waiting for loan approval for her La Canada Sagebrush home buyer.
So, we are slowing nudging our way into the New Year. I wish all of my blog readers a healthy, prosperous and happy New Year.
