Keeping up with routine home maintenance

A major benefit of owning your own home is that you can personalize it.  With time, money and effort you can have it exactly how you want!

Growing up, I always wanted a pool and now I finally have one.  We also have a beautiful yard and our Southern California climate is enjoyable nearly year round.

I enjoy a reading a good book, and my patio is a pleasant spot for reading; I am currently reading Jeffrey Archer’s Only Time Will Tell.  We installed misters which make the yard so pleasant in the heat.  And for when it gets cooler, we purchased an outdoor heater. A wonderful aspect of Southern California living is that for most of the year, your backyard is an additional room.

Renters benefit from their landlord paying for routine maintenance, such as tree trimming, rain gutter cleaning, etc.  There is an order to routine home maintenance; now that our trees are trimmed, it was time to get the rain gutters cleaned. And while Steve’s Windows was doing that, it seemed efficient to have the house power washed and the windows cleaned too.
