Staying on top of routine home maintenance

It's a new month and we are counting down the final days of summer. Later this week we will review the real estate statistics for La Canada, La Crescenta, Glendale and Pasadena.  But for now let's focus on upcoming home maintenance.

My father has an expression:  The steamroller is coming, get out of the way.

Sometimes owning a home puts you in the path of the steamroller.  I recently had my home inspected for termites and we have them; lots of them. In addition the termite company determined we were overwatering (which we corrected) and there was a leaking pipe under the house.

Now that the weather is warm and we shouldn’t be seeing rain for months is the ideal time to have your roof repaired.  Once it starts raining, honest and reliable roofers are extremely busy.  If your roof is suspect, call my favorite roofer, Rick Coach with United Roofing

And don’t wait until it starts raining, he will be too busy.  As my dad says: the steamroller is coming, get out of the way.
