How are real estate prices and the market faring in La Crescenta?






As Realtors constantly confer with buyers and sellers regarding real estate prices, agents need to keep apprised of housing trends.  Each month I research the MLS (multiple listing service) to determine current real estate market conditions.  I compiled the following statistics for La Crescenta real estate:

In June, the good:

The average price per square foot increased (highest for the year)
Days on market decreased (shortest for the year)
22 La Crescenta homes which closed escrow (sold) versus May’s 17
Slight decrease in absorption rate

The bad:
Average selling price decreased from May
