Free Family Fun in the Foothills
I grew up in Glendale but George’s family lived in La Canada. After we married, we moved to La Canada to be nearer family and for the highly rated schools. What I most enjoy about living in the Foothills is that we don’t have as much traffic and the crime rate is low. As La Canada has just one high school, it seems that most everyone knows each other. Same is true for La Crescenta and Montrose, just the one high school.
Living in La Canada, La Crescenta or Montrose is about as close to living in a small town an Angeleno can experience. If you are looking to become familiar with the community there are some free events this weekend.
