As a real estate agent, I am often asked about La Canada real estate prices, price per square foot, days on market, etc.  So each month, I search the MLS (multiple listing service) and break down the statistics for a few of my favorite Los Angeles neighborhoods and publish them here on my blog. Each community is different, so what is happening with Los Angeles real estate can be quite different as to what is occurring with La Canada real estate.



In May, there were no La Canada short sales or foreclosures reported sold in the MLS.  But, the rest of the La Canada housing statistics worsened:

The number of homes sold decreased, absorption rate (month’s supply) increased
Days on market increased
Average selling price decreased, Average price per square foot decreased
Average selling price to list price decreased
