It's going to be a busy spring for Los Angeles real estate

Its spring and the phones are ringing. Potential home buyers are calling to ask for help in finding their dream home. And we still have a long list of buyers who have yet to find their perfect home and are still looking.
Home sellers are phoning too; they are tired of waiting for the market to turn and are ready to move on.
Last week I pulled a seven day week… appointments each of the 7 days, I have worked many 7 day weeks, but it’s been several years where I have had appointments each day.
Lisa’s been showing homes like crazy and has three escrows; Natalie (who is expecting) has just put a Glendale character home in escrow and has worked out the inspection issues.
We are on track for seven closings in April! And that’s why this Realtor is not sunning with her husband in Nassau.

It's amazing to hear how busy your schedule is, considering this time last year where it seemed on one could sell anything in Los Angeles. What's with the big turn around? I still thought we were in a down turn, but maybe these sunny skies today are bringing a sense of hope. Either way, congratulations; I know it's been a tough few years for real estate.

It's just spring, last spring was strong as well (we had the first time buyer's credit). The market may likely cool again in the fall.
We also have a lack of inventory, not enough listings for buyers. At first glance it can often appear that there is a lot on the market, but so many are short sales which will never be approved. The lack of realistically priced homes will continue to make this a challenging market for home buyers.
