Most Los Angeles communities have at least a handful of trophy properties and as a real estate agent, I have shown and sold many amazing homes.  But celebrity owned homes are always fun to look at.  



Actor Mario Lopez, owns Glendale’s Lorelei, a Mediterranean residence in Glendale’s Northwest hills offering privacy and amazing views.  It’s a lovely home and over the years I have shown it to several home buyers. The drawback was always the narrow galley kitchen.  The kitchen could have been bumped out, but lovely walking paths would be lost.  In looking at the video, it appears that Mario did opt to lose the path and expand the kitchen.  

Some homes seem to have a lot of turnover and this Glendale home has sold four times in 12 years.  

1999 sold for $1,180,000
2004 sold for $1,800,000
2007 sold for $2,429,000
2010 sold for $1,995,000 (Mario’s purchase)

I hope Mario finds this home nurtures him and his family and is happy there for years to come.
