During last year's heavy rains, our driveway drain become clogged with leaves and debris and rain was running into our garage. I have since learned that when we have these heavy rains to make certain the drains are clear.  For our house it is simply grabbing a broom and sweeping the leaves off the drains.

Part of home ownership is routine maintenance. Walk around your home, check for signs of water ponding, check the drains.
