During this recent heat wave, I have had several clients call to thank me for finding them a home with a pool. Yes, a pool is a lovely amenity for Southern California homes.  For those of you with young children, I understand being fearful of a pool. But as a mother, I learned you need to watch them every minute, pool or no pool.

Having a pool is an additional monthly expense. But vacationing in your own backyard can be a money saver.
