Often those of us, who have lived in our homes for years, have accumulated “stuff” and lots of it. Some resort to storage lockers, but the cost of offsite storage can get costly.  Many of us either have our homes packed with “stuff” or have a system in place to weed through and then donate, sell or trash.

Years ago, George & I packed a lot of our “stuff” and moved it to the garage rafters.  This was “stuff” we didn’t use, but weren’t ready to part with.  Fortunately we had the room to get it out of sight.  If we were to put our home on the market, most of this unnecessary “stuff” would not be visible.  But of course it would be crazy to move it with us and one of these days, we will need to deal with our “stuff”.

A major portion of home staging is decluttering. For those moving or remodeling, PODS may be your solution.  What is a pod?  A POD is a portable storage locker which is delivered to your home; you pack at your leisure. They can be stored anywhere including at a PODS storage center.  If you are selling your home, you can pack up your clutter “stuff” so that you can make a positive impression for showings.

A fully loaded POD on your property is a good indication to a buyer that you are highly motivated (semi-packed and ready to go).  A home buyer should never know the extent of your motivation; perhaps a friend will allow you to park the POD in their driveway.  

Once you move, the POD is delivered to your new home.  Instead of packing to storage, unpacking at storage, repacking at storage and unpacking at the new home, PODS saves two packing steps.
