Does it matter how quickly your Realtor returns phone calls?

Natalie has a client in the two million + price range.  Recently while trying to set appointments to show homes there was an agent who didn’t return Natalie’s call for three days. Of course this agent has an “assistant” and the “assistant” apparently didn’t think Natalie’s request to show was important enough to return the call in a timely manner.

 

Natalie was finally able to set the appointment and show the home.  The buyer lost their enthusiasm; the home didn’t work and it remains on the market. If your Realtor is slow to return calls to you, they may likely be slow to return calls to other Realtors who may have questions or want to show your home.  In many instances the buyers then move on to other homes and their interest in your home may have waned.
