History Lectures at Brand Park’s Library

I have always had a passion for history.  Last week, I was invited to a weekly class held at Glendale's Brand Park’s library.  The professor, Leonard De Grassi, is both knowledgeable and fascinating.  The delightful aspect is that he answers only to himself; class direction is at his discretion.  Attendees are there because we want to be; there is no test, no attendance and learning is simply for the sake of knowledge.

The lecture started at 9:30, we had a coffee break at 10:30 and ended just after 11:30. What did I learn?  I learned about Charlemagne, who apparently was very good at organization and not rocking the boat.  I also learned about the Celts and the fact that Ireland was likely not populated (or only densely populated) until the Celts arrived. And just when you might be thinking I was playing too much hookie from my real estate duties, I also learned about Romanesque architecture, HA!

Interested? Lectures resume mid-September and are $100.00.  Sign ups are through my dear friend Doris Boyer at Rossmoyne Realty at  (818) 550-3336
