Bathroom Hot Buttons

Kitchens, baths and master bedrooms sell homes.  Surveys show that money spent remodeling bathrooms will recoup (on average) a minimum of 70%-75% of your remodeling dollars.

Derive pleasure out of your home and its improvements while you are living in it.  It’s a shame when home sellers spruce up their homes just prior to listing and never had the  time to enjoy the benefits of their updates.

If your bathrooms are tired, and you can’t afford a full scale remodel, think about giving them a facelift. What can you afford now or in the near future? Perhaps new flooring, cabinet hardware, countertops, faucets or a coat of paint might be all that is needed.

Would you love to remodel your bathroom, but are afraid of the cost?  Check out this bathroom cost estimator

Bathroom Hot buttons:
Heated towel racks, radiant heated floors, oversized soaking tubs.

I recently spent one night in San Francisco at the Ritz Carlton; the bathroom was lovely.  Predominantly white: woodwork, marble, fluffy towels - very crisp and clean.  Personally, I loved the look.

They do sell a house and for me at least it's in this order: the bath, the kitchens and the master bedroom, because I have always had small baths and I hated that. The same goes with the kitchen, too, but taking a long bath is more important than anything in the world right now, when it's summer.

I'm also a fan of bathrooms, sometimes I feel like I'm spending half my life in there. I guess it's the most intimate place in a house, therefore you want it to represent you. The bigger the bath, the happier I am.

I'm in the middle of a bathroom remodel and enjoyed this article very much. I do think, except for the kitchen, the bathroom is the most important room in the house to keep updated.
