Summer Grilling Techniques
During the summer we spend a lot of time in our back yard. We invite family, lounge by the pool, barbecue and simply relax. Last year we had a handyman install misters in our back yard and after fifteen years of homeownership our yard is finally perfect.
Roy’s, Pasadena offers monthly cooking classes. A different topic each month; May is grill month. George needed a little help with his technique and I thought the class would be perfect for us both. (I don’t know how to turn on our barbecue, and I prefer to keep it that way).
George and I learned how to prepare several barbecue sauces and rubs. In addition Chef Eddie showed us how to tell by the flowing juices when meat and chicken were cooked (fish by the color). After cooking, the class was able to enjoy the food we had prepared.
