Los Angeles Realtor’s top two gripes!
My biggest frustration as a real estate agent is the waiting! Around 7 am, I plan my day, respond to emails, check the mls for new listings, price reductions, etc.
Depending on who I am phoning, I typically wait to nearer 9 AM, to make those calls. But what I don’t understand is why it takes until the late, very late afternoon or even early evening to receive responses to my early phone calls. My question: if I phone a Realtor or a mortgage lender, why in the heck does it take hours and hours to get a return phone call. Have they been sleeping all day? I just don’t get it!
Often, instead of waiting for a return call, I will “hold”. I know the real estate drill; that’s why I have two phones on my desk and Lisa and Natalie have two phones as well. Anyone of us can “hold”, place the call on speaker phone and between the three of us we can hold all day. HA!

Oh and by the way, what is up with “your call is very important to us”? If it were so important I wouldn’t be on hold for over 20 minutes.
