How to tell if your real estate agent is a slacker?

According to Wikipedia “a slacker is commonly used to refer to a person who avoids work….Some slackers are mentally stable, well adjusted people, and may actually be productive members of society.”  Some signs of a real estate slacker:

*Your real estate agent doesn’t put together a property brochure but instead uses the one from when you purchased the home.

*Your home is shown by appointment only, but it’s generally an appointment with you; resulting with you negotiating directly with the buyer and the buyer’s agent.

*Your real estate agent is slow (extremely slow) to return phone calls and emails to the other parties in the transaction (escrow, other agent, lender, etc.).

*Your real estate agent is too busy to meet with the appraiser or provide them with comparables. The appraisal comes in low and your buyer backs out of escrow.

I have experienced all of the above… all this year…..
