The real estate truth

Although, for a brief interval, I was an assistant cheer coach, I am not a cheerleader; I am a real estate agent.  Over the years, I have had clients upset because I rained on their parade. But I was raised to be truthful. At the end of the day, if you want the real estate truth, call me; if you want a cheerleader you will need to find one.

Buying or selling a home is an emotional roller coaster.  If you aren't paying cash you will find that obtaining a loan can by trying...very trying. Of course it can be done, but banks are insisting on more and more paperwork.   If you are involved in a short sale, there is even more drama, and remember if you are purchasing a foreclosure the lender/owner calls the shots.

Other than high end housing, inventory is tight.  You might be competing with other buyers and many of them are very well qualified, (high FICO's, large down payments).   Finding your dream home will likely take longer than you like, but if you are patient it will be worth the wait.
