As George and I were sitting on our patio one evening several weeks ago, I breathed a sigh of contentment as I felt our home was perfect.

 

Well of course it isn’t perfect, but as close to perfect as we will likely see.  The last realistic item on my wish list was outdoor misters (like they have in Palm Springs) and last year we added them; when it is really warm they do such a wonderful job of cooling the yard down.  We have lived in our home for fifteen years and the beauty of owning is that you can ultimately reach your own level of nirvana.  The improvements we make are made to enrich our lives (and yes, with an eye on future resale).  But when we purchased this home, we knew this was for the long term.

When we moved in, we updated our master bathroom, but after fifteen years it is starting to look “tired”.  Perhaps in the next few years, we could remodel again and if so, I would love a Mr. Steam Shower. They offer aroma therapy such as a eucalyptus feature ideal for when you have a cold.  Wouldn’t that be nice to have this winter?
