The use of appraisal management companies has created appraisal problems and  for $24.99 this one will tell me how to correct it by showing the appraiser how to properly evaluate comparables.  Someone needs to contact John Stossel’s Give Me A Break!

If you regularly read my LA RE blog, you know that I was very concerned over the appraisal changes and the fact that appraisals are now being ordered by a management company which takes a percentage of the appraiser’s fee.  Because of the reduction in their fee, many appraisers are refusing the work, resulting in the use of many inexperienced and/or incompetent appraisers.

Is it just me being cranky?  Or is this outrageous?  This is the email which I received:
