What is a cupola?
A cupola is a small, most-often dome-like structure, on top of a building. I am fortunate to sell real estate in neighborhoods with both character and architectural homes. I appreciate all architecture - anything except that stucco box.
When George and I were in Rome, our terrace overlooked the Piazza del Popola. A bakery was nearby and we woke to the aroma of fresh bread and pastries. In the evening, the terrace was a quiet refuge in the bustling city and the perfect place to enjoy a glass of prosecco.
This cupola is on the Santa Maria di Montesanto church.

Great post on antique cupolas, did you have fun in Rome?
