Join the Glendale YWCA as we honor the 2009 Heart & Excellence Award honorees, Ruth Charles, Janet Killian, Kathleen Powers, Sandy Schultz, and Mercy Velazquez as women who have contributed to the welfare of women, children and the community through their service, work and leadership in the prevention of domestic violence.
The YWCA is delighted to have Denise Hamilton as the guest speaker. Denise is the author of the Eve Diamond series and is editor of the Los Angeles Noir, an anthology of new writing that has been on the bestsellers list for two months, won the Edgars Award for Best Short Story and the Southern California Independent Bestsellers’ Award for Best Mystery of the Year.
