A real estate agent is in the service business. Although, I set my own appointments, I need to work within my client's time frames.  In the real estate industry, we often work evenings and weekends.  As our hours sometimes stretch into the evening, many Realtors prefer to start working later in the day. 

As I wake early, my work day starts earlier than most. Typically I wake around 6 AM and make a pot of coffee. 
What can a real estate agent do at 6 AM you wonder?

By the time I drop my daughter off to school, I have made headway into my day (there are few disruptions this early in the morning).  Most mornings, I have time to take the dogs for a walk and am back at my desk between 8:45 - 9:15.
