Finding Mr. Right in Los Angeles

Did Cupid's arrow miss you on Valentine's Day?  I am no longer single, but was in the 90’s and recall how difficult it can be to meet desirable dating partners in Los Angeles. I work with the Glendale YWCA and last year participated in a fundraiser sponsored by Glendale Harley.  I am not the “biker chick” type and was quite surprised by the caliber of rider.

Remember the definition of median? If I were single, I would definitely be up for this.  A $20 donation includes your Malibu lunch (or $30.00 for two)– drive your car to Malibu you don’t need the bike.  You may meet Mr. Right, and if not you’ll spend the afternoon in Malibu; the $20 is donated to the Glendale YWCA. and their programs supporting the victims of domestic violence.

And if you do own a motorcycle – the ride is a great value and benefits and wonderful cause.

Sunday, March 8th. Complimentary breakfast donated by Glendale Harley, registration begins at 9:00am and the ride departs Glendale Harley at 11:00am. Enjoy a scenic ride on Sunset Blvd. over to the PCH, then up the coast 20 miles to the Malibu pier. The Beachcomber Cafe is hosting the fun. Appetizers and drinks right out on the waterfront! Music and fun from 12:30 until 2:00pm.   The raffle is at 2:00pm with the Grand Prize being a one week trip to Cabo (airfare not included). Raffle tickets are just $10 per ticket. There are many other nice prizes to win too. The ride is $20 per rider, or $30 for two-up couple. All proceeds are donated to the Glendale YWCA.

Special "Day In the 'Bu" 2009 Ride pins will be given to the first 50 people that register.  For more information contact: Steve Fisher at 818-246-5618, Ext. 133

We all have experienced the feeling that there aren't enough hours in the day but on Saturday there really won't be enough hours. It’s difficult waking after losing the hour. Does it seem that we should be collecting interest on our lost hour? Our hour is borrowed and won’t be returned until Fall. To make matters more difficult, my good friend Liza and I need to man the Glendale Harley table for the YWCA Harley Ride . We need to be there Sunday @ 8 am. If you haven’t registered, do it now! ...
