Saving money on your homeowner's insurance premium

Most homeowners are looking for ways to reduce spending.  One way is by reviewing your homeowner’s insurance policy and finding ways to save on your premium.

Increasing the deductible from $500 to $1,000 (or more), reducing coverage on the “household contents” portion of the policy, and installing an alarm system might save as much as 25 percent.  But my advice is to contact your insurance agent and ask him/her to suggest ways to save.  And of course, it never hurts to comparison shop.
