24 Hours in the life of a “Coming Soon” Pasadena listing
We remain in the pre-listing stage. Day 3: 1/9/09: The owner contacted DWP and now there is an additional fee to have the power on today. Handy Fred tears out the old carpet and curtains, cleaning will require electricity; we wait.

Days 4 & 5: No electricity
Day 6 & 7: Electricity is not connected until 4 PM on day 6, Handy Fred finishes cleaning on Day 7 and makes certain all of the fixtures have working light bulbs.
Day 8: 1/14/09 – Making it comfortable
Handy Fred delivers the Podicarpus recommended by Michelle Minch, what do you think?
Natalie meets the city of Pasadena for the city occupancy report which is required prior to closing. She brings to the residence a roll of toilet paper and a bar of soap for the powder bath. I can now justify to my husband George why I need to remove all of the toiletries from each hotel room.
Days 9 and 10: 1/15-1/16/09
Window Washers are scheduled to clean the windows on Thursday (day 9). Gas company is scheduled for Friday (day 10), to connect gas.
Then we will be ready for the professional photographer and floor plan. Waiting on: I phoned the management company again, I need a main gate key for the lockbox. I will be sending invitations for the Twilight Open and Sunday open house which will need to be printed and mailed within plenty of time for potential buyers to attend.
Timing the Listing When will we make our grand entrance? Not certain, but it will be AFTER Super Bowl as I think too many people will be distracted by the game, events and parties.

Actually I didn't but Michelle Minch read my blog and suggested the trees. I valued her advice and purchased the trees.
This empty home is one of a handful of my listings that isn't staged.
