As a real estate agent, I have favorite neighborhoods.  I love special homes, not stucco boxes, I prefer interesting neighborhoods filled with different styles of homes. Many of Adams Hill's homes were built in the 20's and 30's and offer amazing architectural elements.  The Hill also offers a selection of mid century homes.  Adams Hill in Glendale provides an affordable option to Los Feliz homes AND with superior Glendale services such as police, fire and schools.  If you are a home buyer preferring view homes, and don't require a large level lot, you should check out the "Hill". 

This 2 + 1 Glendale home located in Adams Hill provides an interesting look at the price fluctuation in the Los Angeles Real Estate Market.  According to MLS (multiple listing service) data:

This home sold in 2005 sold after 22 days on the market for $465,000.

According to MLS remarks, the home was remodeled and resold in 2006 for $620,000. This view home was listed in November 2008 and just closed escrow at $425,000.  It appears that even after the 2005 remodel, the home is worth less than in 2005.
