On Monday, my parents arrived from Sequim, Washington. They are taking a Princess cruise to Hawaii which departs from Long Beach and returns to Long Beach on Christmas Eve.   

On Tuesday, I thought my mom (being a former Glendalian)  might enjoy a walk thru the Americana and lunch at Katsuya.

It was my mom's first trip to the completed Americana and I was (selfishly) relieved that it wasn't too crowded.  If you need any last minute holiday shopping, nearly every store at the Americana is having a sale. It’s a pleasant shopping experience and it certainly was not crowded during Tuesday's lunch hour.
