Thinking of selling your home? Learn how to increase your curb appeal

It happens all of the time: buyers are in the car and we are looking at numerous homes. The buyers are motivated but disappointed too, we have looked at numerous homes and we can't find what they are hoping to find.  Then we stop at one more home, they are tired and because of the home's exterior (or lack of curb appeal) the buyer will not make the effort to get out of the car to look inside the home.

Home Sellers, you have only one opportunity to make a great first impression.
5 easy and inexpensive ways to enhance your curb appeal:

1. Lawn
Lawns should be green, mowed and free of weeds and brown spots.

2. Hedges
Trim hedges so that windows are visible (this will also allow more light inside the home).

3. Walkway
Make sure your walkway is free of cracks and weeds.

4. Front Door
Remove screen door, clean porch, add some color. First impressions, repaint front door, repair doorbell.

5. Exterior
Consider power washing and or painting (even if only the front door and/or trim).  Remove screen doors. Have the windows professionally cleaned. Pay attention to the flower beds, pull weeds, replant as necessary.

Learn how to make a buyer fall in love with your home.
