Angelenos Should Prepare for the Big One
We had that 5+ earthquake last week. Have you taken any precautions to prepare your home if there were another larger quake? Do you have water to last a minimum of a week for each family member? What about pet food? Candles? Batteries? Have you done anything?

There are numerous resources that will itemize what you should have on hand. My favorite is Melinda Lee’s Emergency Guide. Print her list and start storing at least a week’s worth of necessities for your home. It’s not that difficult:
Week one: necessities such as water, pet food, canned food
Week two: more of same –buy what’s on sale, you don’t need to spend a fortune
Week three: “luxuries” such as toilet paper, candles, batteries
