What is a loggia and are they found in Los Angeles homes?
As Southern California boasts a wonderful climate, loggias are not uncommon in both newer and vintage homes. Originally of Italian design, do you know what a loggia is or what one looks like?
"Loggia" is Italian derived from the French loge.
1. An open-sided, roofed or vaulted gallery, either free-standing or along the front or side of a building, often at an upper level.
2. An open balcony in a theater.
My favorite is found at the Doge's Palace in Venice:

I love the Italian style villa in particular. Though I am a sucker for the beach. A villa style beach house perhaps? haha That is a good idea for a house.

Wow those are some beautiful homes. I would love to own one. I think I might start looking into Californian homes for the next time I move.
