More than 20 years ago, my sister and I used to dine at Chi Dynasty, which was originally located in Glendale (where at that time she and I both lived in the same Glendale condo).  After years of “China Town” dinners, we discovered “gourmet Chinese”.  We were converts and I actually purchased a wok and started cooking my own dishes.

After several years, (Glendale's) Chi Dynasty disappeared… One day it just wasn’t there.  A few years later it reopened on Hillhurst in Los Feliz and once again it became our favorite restaurant.  My sister even threw my baby shower there.  My sister has since moved to Seattle, but each time she visits Los Angeles, Chi Dynasty is on her “must do” list.

Apparently Jonathan Chi lost his lease at the former Hillhurst location, but the good news is that Chi Dynasty is back in business. The same fabulous food and the best Mai Tai’s (outside of Hawaii) can be enjoyed. I was fortunate to have a “marketing meeting” with a Realtor friend today and we were both delighted that our favorite restaurant is back in town.  Oh, and at our “lunch meeting” we discussed our real estate blogs and innovative ways to market our listings. She and I try to meet at least every quarter.  I am delighted that our favorite (lunch) meeting venue is back!
