La Canada, La Crescenta, Glendale and Montrose – Foreclosures
Last Week’s REO’s: The good news is that only one home was lost in foreclosure. It was on Marion Drive in Glendale’s Adam's Hill neighborhood
MLS Stats:
Sold 4/15/05 $465,000 advertised as a fixer
Sold Again: 6/06 $620,000 Now vacant and redone - another flip; the owner which purchased this newly remodeled home is the one who lost it.
The Notice of Defaults (NOD’s) are mixed:
Glendale: 4 homes (only one of the four is presently on the market for sale)
La Crescenta: 5 homes (none presently listed for sale)
La Canada: 1 home (and it is presently on the market)
It appears that the number of troubled homeowner’s is decreasing in Glendale but rising in La Crescenta; perhaps this might be attributed to the fact that Glendale had larger numbers earlier in the year.

The innocent victims of the sub prime crisis and resulting foreclosures are our pets. Animal shelters in the greater LA area are reporting a 16% rise in animal surrenders/abandonment. When people are forced to move and to do so quickly it is often hard to find places that will allow animals.
