For the past three decades, the Glendale YWCA has been a place of refuge for women and children who seek to escape domestic violence.  Each year, the Glendale YWCA holds its Legacy Luncheon at which the Heart and Excellence Award is bestowed upon those individuals who are dedicated to the welfare of women and children. 

The 11th Annual Luncheon is being held on May 2nd, 2008 at The Castaways in Burbank.  Lisa See,  author of the critically acclaimed international bestseller, Snow Flower and the Secret Fan will be the keynote speaker.
