One of the first things a home stager will recommend is decluttering.   When cabinets and closets are tidy, it appears that you have more storage space which is a great selling feature. When they are orderly, you don’t buy as much “stuff” because you use and find what you all ready have. 

Make the simple commitment to each month organize one drawer or closet – just one.  This way when you move or put your home on the market you won’t be as overworked and the added benefit is that the organization is not just for show, you will derive years of pleasure from it.

Transform your linen closet

I have the luxury of a cleaning woman, who also does my laundry.  Because someone else is putting my linens away, keeping them organized is important or I will never find anything. I did purchase the shelf dividers (which are also great to keep purses upright on the top closet shelf) and I have labeled my (sheet) shelves by bedroom.  Other tips for sheets are to designate a specific color for each bedroom and/or to keep the complete set of sheets in the pillowcase so that when you grab the pillowcase you have the complete set.  My next purchase will be the over the door organizer and I think I will also purchase one for gift wrap items (bows, ribbons, tape, etc).  If ordering from the Container Store you might try checking with your (mileage) credit card for bonus points offers.  When I shop the Container Store, I get 4x’s miles when shopping from the American Express bonus points mall.
