NOW, I REALLY want to buy this house!
I cannot understand why some listings (in the MLS) insist on putting photos that will not help "sell" the house.
Take for example:

While it is nice that this home has a pool, this photo does not scream out "enjoy hot summer days," rather this picture says to most:
1) The backyard is all pool.
2) You can barely walk around the pool without possibly falling in.
3) Just what I've always wanted to see while lounging in a pool, cinderblocks & weeds.
This is why many realtors choose to hire a professional photographer.
Am I just cranky after a long week or am I correct?

We met the photographer yesterday at our newest listing in La Crescenta. Now, comes the task of selecting the best photos for Internet, MLS and print advertisement. Our photographer takes several photos of each room and then we decide what we feel best showcases the home's features. We go "round and round" selecting the best photo for each area. A little about the home: $610,000 - 3

I agree 100%! Yeah that picture is going to get me to buy the home. LOL!

Good point your right this is not a great shot of the pool. A professional does do a better shot with all there cameras and understanding of getting the right angle.

Maybe it's not a pool but a fish pond who can tell from the photo.
