DO:
Evaluate your credit - work on it and get your FICO scores as high as possible in order to obtain the best interest rate
Attend open houses, get a feel for the market, connect with a Realtor, and pick their brain
Save money, expect to sacrifice, the sub-prime fiasco has taught us – there is no free lunch

DON’T
Expect that your payment won’t be more than your rent
Listen to your friends, your parents, DO EDUCATE yourself  – refer to above "do's"

REMEMBER
People who make money in real estate buy when others aren’t
Rates are low, prices are low – what are you waiting for?
We won’t know when we hit bottom until after we hit and prices are going up!

FORGET
The herd mentality – follow the herd and you loose! Every time!
