I have garden envy, but with three dogs running through the yard, I am lucky that anything is living in my back yard.  I feel fortunate that I have lemon and orange trees producing fruit (especially with the price of organic food!).  I have been diligently trying to keep the potted herbs I purchase at Trader Joes alive, but no luck; I think they need to be outside and possibly planted in the ground. 

So sometime during my quest and probably when trying to find a Christmas gift for my father-in-law, I found the Upside-Down Tomato Garden at HAMMACHER SCHLEMMER; at $75.00 it is not cheap, and I did try to find a less expensive version, but the alternatives looked flimsy… This weekend I planted mine and my father-in-law’s. I planted a variety of herbs with the tomatoes, now we will see how they do!
