Proper Foreclosure Etiquette
Weekly, I receive a list of homes in La Canada, Glendale and La Crescenta that have Notices of Default filed. I also receive a list of homes in these areas that have been foreclosed; this is the list that I post on my blog; these are the homes that the bank will now be selling.
From time to time, I see a name I know on the Notice of Default list; these are the people who still have time to reinstate (make current) their loan. Today, I again saw a person whose home is in default. I wasn’t sure if I should have ignored it or not…. I emailed the person (there may be a divorce involved) and I am not certain if this person is aware of the default or not.....
Do you think I did the right thing? It seems like I did, because this person may not know and sometimes in a divorce people do mean and crazy things to get back at the other party...







I guess I want to know if I wasn't aware but if I was I might be embarressed to discuss it with anyone. I'm sure within a few minutes this would be evidant and the call would be understood.
