I have been very reluctant to discuss (relive) the toilet tank episode.  One evening, I went downstairs to the kitchen about 10 PM and discovered water dripping out of the dining room chandelier onto and off the dining room table.  To make a horrible story short, my daughter’s toilet tank overflowed and the water was leaking through the 2nd story to the first.  I jiggled the toilet handle, the water stopped and we dried up the water.  

We have had a hole in the dining room ceiling for months while waiting for the insurance company to (partially) pay for the repair.  In the meantime, our plumbing stinks… but that is another story.  The work has started and hopefully our home will be back to "normal" soon.
