2008 Home Improvement, Remodeling and Design Trends

Pantone's 2008 Color of the Year is Blue Iris and according to some in the design trade is also a hot new color for the home.

According to their brochure the TurboChef cooks a 12 lb Roasted Turkey in 42 minutes and a Rack of Lamb in 4 and reviews claim the food tastes great.  This oven will really look great in a mid century home, unfortunately the price for the double oven is almost $8,000, but “kitchens and master suites sell homes”....  In a certain (home) price range this could be a big hot button for home buyers.

The eternal water heater combines an advanced turbo heat exchanger and a tank to supply hot water. Similar to a tank-less, the hot water supply never ends; according to their claims: "endless hot water with tank reliability". Unfortunately about twice the cost of traditional water heater, but the Eternal heater burns less fuel and has fewer emissions, meaning less impact on the environment. Go green for yourself, the environment and resale.
