Several years ago I signed up for GoToMyPC.  This is an amazing program that allows me to sign into MY computer from anywhere in the world.  I can email from my email folder and not the web mail program.  I can log into my favorite websites and because my passwords are saved on my computer with ROBOform it couldn’t be easier.

I am in Puerto Vallarta until Saturday.    It is lovely here.  I wake around 8 am, which is 6 am in California, grab a pot of coffee from the lobby, go to the business center and get on MY computer.  I check my email and determine if Natalie needs help with anything, I check the lockbox readings on the web for my listings, and I check the new listings in the MLS.

At present Natalie is countering an offer on our Glendale listing.  We received an offer and the price and terms are not acceptable to the seller.  We have issued a counter offer advising the buyer as to what price and terms the seller will accept. This could go on for days.

We are negotiating the response to the inspection contingency on our La Canada listing. The buyer has completed the inspection and now wishes to change the terms of the original offer. We can’t agree to the buyer’s request, so the buyer needs to honor the terms of the original contract or we need to get this home back on the market.  The good news is that now that the holidays are behind us, home buyers are back out in force. Well priced homes continue to sell.

So I am signing off for now and will log back in this afternoon, and of course there is always the cell phone if Natalie has questions.

Gone are the days when your real estate agent scrawled an offer to purchase your dream home on the hood of the car. The latest technology is DocuSign. The “e-signature” is the latest technology craze and Natalie and I have been utilizing it for several months. Our clients are quite impressed with our tech savvy. No more faxes, printing, scanning, or wasted paper, all for the end result of a illegible contact that has been faxed one too many times. It is so easy:*We type the contract*We email the contract to our client*Our client logs in, ...

Realtors do not enjoy paid vacation. In addition, when we depart we need to leave our business in capable hands. Fortunately, for me, I have Natalie. Natalie is toiling away this week while I have the good fortune to be in Maui. And yes, I feel extremely fortunate. The hotel offers a first class business center and I am responding to email each morning and checking in with Natalie each afternoon, but she is getting it all done: overseeing Orange Grove being cleaned and rephotographed in order to reenter the market, assisting our new La Crescenta seller ...
