How much email is too much?  I did most of my Christmas shopping online this year.  I discovered that many credit cards offer “bonus point shopping”.   When I logged onto my credit card site and shopped their retailer's (many of which I all ready patronize) I earned up to 4 miles for every dollar spent.

When checking out, an email address is typically required to register.  And I don’t mind being contacted by these retailers with special offers or news BUT I don’t want to be contacted every day.  So I find myself still unsubscribing from many of these retailers offers.  Unfortunate, because if they have something newsworthy to offer, I am interested but I don’t want a daily blanket solicitation
