The home is sold, advertised and supposed to be open

WOW! What an interesting real estate market; advertised it in the Newspress Leader on 11/24 as “Coming Soon”. Listed it in the MLS and Realtor.com on 11/27. Held Broker’s Open House on 11/28 (advertised it as a Wednesday Open House) on Realtor.com, Craig’s List and GlendaleOnlineCommunity. Sold it on 11/30 with nearly 10 offers and substantially over asking price.  We have a back up offer;  the buyer we are in escrow with has removed all contingencies

The “dilemma”; the online advertising has been canceled but we are on the cover of the local paper as an open house. I know people will be going to the open house, so should I hold it open anyway? 

Well, I did, I didn’t put any open house signs out except for the one in front of the house.   Interestingly about 50 groups came and most of them seemed upset (mad) that it was all ready sold – Oh well; they would have been upset if no one was there too.
