Why do Realtors hire a professional photographer?

More than 80% of home buyers begin their search on the Internet. Homes with pictures obviously attract more attention.  Good pictures are the first impression; we have one opportunity to make a first impression, why wouldn't we "put our best foot forward"?

Guess which photo I took (and I thought it was nice)... I knew the photographer was coming in the next few days..so it didn't matter too much.

I cannot understand why some listings (in the MLS) insist on putting photos that will not help "sell" the house.Take for example:While it is nice that this home has a pool, this photo does not scream out "enjoy hot summer days," rather this picture says to most:1) The backyard is all pool.2) You can barely walk around the pool without possibly falling in.3) Just what I've always wanted to see while lounging in a pool, cinderblocks
